How it Works:
The "Personal Protector" System The demonstration featured a seamless interaction between wearable sensor technology and autonomous aerial support:
1 The Trigger (PACER Sensing): An Isolated Personnel (IP) is equipped with a sensing platform featuring CurveSYS patented flexible sensors integrated into their gear. These sensors can automatically detect high-stress events, such as a fall or impact.
2. The Alert: Once a critical event is detected, the platform sends an immediate alert signal.
3. The Support (PACER Geolocate): A nearby UAV, acting as a personal protector, receives the signal. Using our on-board geolocation software, the drone autonomously tracks and locates the IP to provide vital reinforcement and situational awareness.
Technical Integration and Live Tracking
Leveraging Tough Stump’s ATOS tags, the team was able to display the exact IP location and the UAV’s flight path as it closed in on the target. This data was streamed directly to the EW-25 TAK server, providing commanders with a real-time digital map of the rescue operation.
